Your Questions About Training at Our Seaford Gym
Owner-operated by Ben, with the coach on the floor. Serious powerlifting and strongman equipment, a friendly community and no egos — you're never just a number here, from first-timers through to experienced lifters.
Getting started
Is Stallion Strength suitable for beginners?
+
Yes. Stallion Strength is owner-operated by Ben and built around a no-ego culture. Plenty of members walked in having never touched a barbell. You'll train alongside experienced lifters, but nobody expects you to know everything on day one — asking questions is encouraged.
See membership options →Do I need to be fit or strong before joining?
+
No. Getting stronger is the reason to join, not the entry requirement. Everything can be scaled — lighter weights, simpler movements and fewer sets — so you start where you are and build from there at your own pace.
Can you help me learn how to use the equipment?
+
Yes. Ben is regularly around the gym and happy to show you how racks, benches and specialist equipment work, and how to set up safely. For structured, ongoing coaching, the Program Membership includes custom programming and form reviews.
See the gear →Can I visit the gym before joining?
+
Absolutely. Give Ben a call or send a message on Instagram to arrange a time to look around, see the equipment and ask questions before committing to anything.
Find us & get in touch →What should I bring to my first session?
+
Comfortable training clothes, flat or supportive shoes, a water bottle and a towel. If you own a lifting belt, wrist wraps or knee sleeves, bring them — but they're not required to get started.
Do you offer personal training or training programs?
+
Yes. We offer personal training in Seaford through the Program Membership — a custom program written by Ben, weekly check-ins and form reviews, so you stop guessing and start progressing. Foundation members also receive a free 6-week training program and a basic nutrition plan to get started.
See membership options →Can I train independently as well as attend classes?
+
Yes. Members can train on their own using 24/7 access and also attend classes. The Classes and Unlimited Classes memberships suit people who want coached sessions as a core part of their week.
See membership options →Women's strength training
Are your strength classes suitable for women new to lifting?
+
Yes. Our women's strength classes in Seaford are designed so complete beginners can join in alongside more experienced lifters. Weights and movements are adjusted to you, and the focus is on learning good technique in a supportive group.
What happens in a women's strength class?
+
Sessions typically include a warm-up, coached technique work on a main lift, then supporting strength exercises. You'll learn how to lift safely, track your progress and gradually lift heavier over time.
Can strength training help me build muscle and confidence?
+
Regular, progressive strength training is a well-established way to build muscle and strength. Many members also find that seeing their lifts improve week after week builds real confidence, both in the gym and outside it.
Do you teach squat, bench press and deadlift technique?
+
Yes. The squat, bench press and deadlift are at the heart of what we do. Classes and coaching cover setup, bracing, bar path and how to progress each lift safely.
Can sessions be adapted to different experience levels?
+
Yes. Every exercise can be scaled up or down, so beginners and experienced lifters can train in the same session while working at the right level for them.
What is the difference between coached classes and training alone?
+
Coached classes give you structure, technique feedback and a group to train with. Training alone gives you flexibility to follow your own program at any hour. Many members combine both.
See membership options →Mums and bubs
Can I bring my baby or child to the gym?
+
Yes. Children and babies are welcome. No childcare is provided, and parents remain responsible for supervising their children during training.
How do mums and bubs strength classes work?
+
They're coached strength sessions built around the reality of training with a child nearby. Exercises are adapted to each person, and the pace is relaxed enough that you can look after your child when needed.
Do I need previous gym experience?
+
No. Mums and bubs classes are suitable for complete beginners. You'll be shown how to do each movement and the weights are matched to your current ability.
What if I need to stop during a class to attend to my child?
+
That's completely fine and expected. Step out whenever you need to — feeding, settling or changing — and rejoin when you're ready. Nobody will think twice about it.
Is childcare provided, or do children remain their parent's responsibility?
+
No childcare is provided. Children and babies are welcome, but parents remain responsible for supervising their children at all times during training, including during classes.
Who should I speak to about returning to exercise after having a baby?
+
Before returning to exercise after pregnancy or birth, check in with your GP, obstetrician or a women's health physiotherapist. Once you have the all-clear, let Ben know about any advice you've been given so sessions can be adjusted.
Powerlifting
Do you have powerlifting equipment in Seaford?
+
Yes. As a powerlifting gym in Seaford, Stallion Strength has combo racks, competition benches, a mono lift and plenty of plates and bars, set up specifically for squatting, benching and deadlifting heavy.
See the gear →What is powerlifting?
+
Powerlifting is a strength sport built on three lifts: the squat, bench press and deadlift. Lifters aim to lift as much as possible for one rep in each. You can train powerlifting-style purely to get stronger, with or without competing.
Can beginners learn powerlifting here?
+
Yes. Many of our lifters started as beginners. You'll learn the three lifts with light weights first, then build up steadily with good technique.
Do I need to compete to train at a powerlifting gym?
+
Not at all. Most members train for strength, health or enjoyment. If you do decide to compete, the Program Membership can help you prepare for a meet.
What squat racks, benches, platforms and specialist bars are available?
+
The floor includes combo racks, competition benches, a mono lift and a dedicated lifting area. For a full, current list of specialist bars, ask Ben or come and take a look.
See the floor →Can I get help with squat, bench press and deadlift technique?
+
Yes. Ben is often on the floor and happy to give pointers and spot. For ongoing, detailed feedback, the Program Membership includes form reviews and weekly check-ins.
See membership options →Strongman
Do you offer strongman training in Seaford?
+
Yes. Stallion Strength is a strongman gym in Seaford with a dedicated strongman lane, so you can train events properly rather than improvising in a commercial gym.
See the gear →Is strongman suitable for beginners and women?
+
Yes. Strongman events can be loaded light and built up gradually, so beginners and women of all experience levels can train them safely.
Do I need to be very strong to start?
+
No. Everyone starts with weights that suit them. Strongman is a great way to build strength, not something you need to be strong for first.
What strongman equipment is available?
+
Our strongman gear includes a yoke, farmers handles, a log, atlas stones and a sled and prowler.
See the gear →What happens at Strongman Saturdays?
+
Strongman Saturdays are group sessions focused on strongman events. Contact Ben for current times and what to expect at your first one.
Find us & get in touch →Can strongman training complement my regular gym training?
+
Yes. Carries, pushes, pulls and overhead work build grip, conditioning and full-body strength that carry over well to powerlifting and general training.
24/7 access and capped memberships
Is the gym open 24/7 for members?
+
Yes. Stallion Strength is a 24/7 gym in Seaford 3198 — members can access the gym 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How does after-hours member access work?
+
Members use their personal access to enter the gym at any time. Access details are provided privately when you join.
What is the difference between member access and staffed hours?
+
Members have 24/7 access to train at any time. Staffed hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am–6pm, and Saturday, 7am–12pm. Visit during staffed hours if you need in-person help or want to arrange a walkthrough.
What are the staffed hours?
+
Staffed hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am–6pm, and Saturday, 7am–12pm. These are separate from 24/7 access for members.
Can visitors or casual users attend after hours?
+
Visitor and casual entry is available during staffed hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am–6pm, and Saturday, 7am–12pm. Contact Ben before visiting outside those hours.
Find us & get in touch →What does capped membership mean?
+
We limit the total number of memberships we sell. This helps manage crowding and keep enough room, equipment and support for the people training here.
How does Stallion Strength differ from a crowded commercial gym?
+
It's owner-operated, focused on serious strength equipment, and memberships are capped. The result is a friendly, no-ego community where beginners and experienced lifters train side by side.
Will I always have immediate access to equipment?
+
Capping memberships helps reduce waiting, but we can't guarantee an empty gym or immediate access to every piece of equipment at every time. Busy periods still happen, and members share equipment respectfully.
